U13 Top and Bottom Groups (Rev 4, posted Sept 1@10:05pm)

Hello U13 Players and Families,

The Top and Bottom games were fun to watch over the last two evenings!

Tomorrow we transition to the Top and Bottom Practices. Our Tier 1 Head Coach, Justin Brand, will run both groups through a competitive practice, evaluating practice habits, skill, attitude effort and more as outlined in the initial email describing the assessment process.

Schedule Update: we have a minor change to tomorrow night’s practice schedule

  • U13 Bottom Group Practice:  4:45 to 6:15PM

  • U13 Top Group Practice:  6:30 to 8:00PM

Take a moment to celebrate this next step with your player, while keeping in mind that while getting closer to their goal there is still a long way to go.

Keep up the hard work, good luck!

Hello U13!

All the players brought fantastic efforts to this evening’s Bottom game, and as a result the head coach and assessors have elected to invite a few additional players to the Top Game tomorrow.

The rosters have been updated and posted to the website – please check for your player, and congrats to those players whose efforts are being rewarded with an additional look tomorrow.

With the completion of our last Bottom game, at this stage in the process players may start being released from Rep Assessments. Players being released to either Rec or T2 will be notified by email directly.

Following notification of release from Rep, you will not be contacted directly about your Rec group placement. Please check the website for those assignments.

Releases may follow again after the Top game tomorrow, and subsequently after the Top and Bottom Group practices. Those players continuing past the assessment practices will have a chance to participate in one week of team practices at T1 or T2, and play exhibition games the weekend of 12th and 13th.

Thanks to all the players for a fun few days – and good luck the rest of the way!

Hello U13 Players and Parents! The update rosters for tomorrow’s Top and Bottom games are now posted

There has been some limited movement between the rosters, a testament to the depth that we are seeing at U13 through the assessments this weekend. As stated previously, moving up or down is not final – the coaches and assessors are looking to see how players respond in different situations, and players may move again.

While movement or placement can be difficult for our young players, I hope that they all remain excited to be part of this process and for the coming season. Please continue supporting them and all of the emotions that can come with assessments.

As noted above, all of us involved in the Rep Assessments this year are excited and encouraged by the deep pool of talent demonstrated at the U13 level this year. I’ve had several conversations today with our volunteers that have been able to see some the games, our coaches and board members about how impressed we’ve all been. It has the makings for a fun exciting season at all levels that our players here this weekend may play.

We’ve made it through the first weekend! See everyone at the arena tomorrow.

Good morning Admirals families,

We had a great start to the season today, and it was exciting to see the level of competition for our U13 Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams!

The next step in Phase 1 of the rep assessments is the Top and Bottom Games. The current placements are not a final reflection of your player’s standings in the assessments, and movement between the top and bottom groups is possible. Encourage your players to bring their best efforts each day throughout the process in order to ensure that their final placement reflects their best possible standing.

The Top and Bottom team games are posted on the Schedules page.

The coaches and assessors are excited for this group, and looking forward to the games through the next phase.

Go Admirals.
