As the season gets started, there a few housekeeping items that I need everyone to take care of:

If you are planning to officiate this season, whether you are a returning official or new to officiating, please complete this FORM. This helps me confirm who is returning, identify new officials, and ensure that everyone is added to the appropriate email distribution list.
If you no longer wish to officiate, there is no need to complete the form. I will remove you from the email list, and this will be the last email you receive from me if the form is not completed.

Upcoming Clinics

I will be running a Level 1/2 First-Year Officials Clinic on Thursday August 27th. More information, including registration details, will be sent out shortly.
For all returning officials, the Super Clinics should be posted soon. I will keep an eye on the information from BC Hockey and will forward details as soon as they become available. We will be hosting a returning clinic that will happen at a later date.

Registration Requirements

You can begin working on your registration requirements now:

Any official who will turn 18 years old by December 31st should complete their Criminal Record Check (CRC) as soon as possible, as processing times can vary.
For first-year officials, you can get started by creating your account and completing the initial steps on the BC Hockey website. Doing this in advance will allow you to register immediately once I send out the in-person clinic information.

2026-27 Re-Certification Updates and Reminders

• Officials who will be 15-year-old as of December 31, 2026, default to Level 2;

• Officials NOT registered for the 2026-27 season as a player or team official must purchase the mandatory Participant Assessment Fee (PAF), by adding it to their payment during checkout process for your on-line course registration;

• All officials complete their mandatory annual re-certification in two (2) phases.

Phase 1: Complete online pre-requisite

Step 1: Criminal Record Check (CRC) *Only required for all officials 18 years or older

Check your CRC status by logging into your SPORDLE account. If you require a new CRC, complete this online submission process.

Step 2: Online Re-certification pre-requisite course & exam
Approximate time: 2 hours

Phase 2: Attend in-person Clinic

• Attend an in-person clinic

Officials register for and attend an in-person clinic to complete their certification. Clinics available for registration will be posted HERE. Please note, clinics occur between September 1 to November 30 and will begin being posted in mid-August.
