·         Permission from your President (letter to be requested through Lorie Hall - rec@victoriaminorhockey.ca )

·         Permission from Joe McDonald (once the permission letter from Barb Norton has been received the entire package goes to Joe)

·         You will have to send game reports and game sheets both within 72 hrs of returning home.  (  Failure to do this is a $50.00 fine per report and game sheet)

Exhibition Games

·         You also need game number to play exhibition games failure to get a game number will result in a $50.00 fine

·         If you are playing a team from your own tier the home team will do game number and reports ( unless Commissioner has asked both teams send game reports)

·         If you are playing a team from another tier both teams will need to act like the home team getting game numbers, sending reports and mailing game sheets.  Again failure to do this will result in fines.

The No Ref Rule

·         Should you ever find yourself in a situation where no refs show up there are two things you can do.  If both coaches agree and sign the sheet ahead of time a coach from each team can go out and ref the game, or a player from each team.  Again everyone needs to agree ahead of time.

The hand shake after the game please read

·         The following MOTION was presented, voted upon by electronic poll and was Carried at close of business on October 9, 2009:

·         MOTION: (JdFMHA/CRMHA):  "That VIAHA Regulation 3.06 be suspended for the 2009 - 2010 playing season and replaced with a one (1) year policy to address the H1N1 health issues.  The VIAHA Policy will read "That the teams will be relieved from VIAHA Regulation 3.06 and players will be directed to tap gloves at the conclusion of games in lieu of the traditional handshake for the 2009 - 2010 playing season.  The Fair Play Initiatives should remain as status quo between the on-ice officials and team officials unless otherwise discussed prior to any one game."

·         1.         All teams discuss this with their players.

·         2.         All players and team officials be aware that a tap is a tap and any excessive actions noted will be written

            up and acted upon.

·         3.         All Referee-In-Chiefs ensure that their game officials are aware of this ‘glove tap’ at the end of the game.

·         4.         Game officials should confirm the ‘glove tap’ with team officials prior to each game.
