2009/10 Award Nomination Form

Awards granted by Victoria Minor Hockey Association:

The Victoria Minor Hockey Association has a number of perpetual awards. The James Alexander Morin award and the Bob Lindal VMHA Award of Merit are presented annually.

 In addition the association has implemented annual awards for the coach of the year, manager of the year, most improved male player and most improved female player

 Nominations for these awards must be made no later than two weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting. For the 2009/2010 playing season nominations must be in prior to March 23rd.

 The Lifetime Membership award and the VMHA President’s Appreciation award are presented as the occasion arises. These awards are typically awarded at the Annual General Meeting.

 

 James Alexander Morin Memorial Award

 The James Alexander Morin Memorial Trophy carries the inscription "Most Dedicated to the Game". This trophy is presented annually honouring the player who best displays dedication, sportsmanship, enthusiasm and a genuine love for the game of hockey.

Bob Lindal VMHA Award of Merit

The Bob Lindal VMHA Award of Merit is open to any VMHA member, in good standing, and includes any parent, player, referee, team official, coach or executive member that makes an extraordinary contribution, to the Association, an individual, a team, or the game itself, or demonstrating exceptional qualities that are a positive example for others, both on and off the ice.

6. Coach of the year

Open to any VMHA coach that makes an extraordinary contribution to the Association or the game itself in addition to fulfilling coaching duties. Criteria used in this award include, team chemistry, team performance, coach communication, coach personal development and dedication

7. Manager of the year

8. Most improved Player – This award is given to the male player deemed to be the most improved through the playing season as determined by the individual coaching staff and the association

 
9. Most improved Female Player – This award is given to the female player deemed to be the most improved through the playing season as determined by the individual coaching staff and the association.
